Classroom ProceduresMrs. Caserta’s Classroom Procedures Arrival: You are expected to have your supplies ready when you walk into the door-which usually means planner, paper, and something to write with. Then sit quietly at your desk until I tell you to start writing. Dismissal: Please remain seated when the bell rings. The bell does not dismiss you-I Do! Do not start packing up until told to. This will not get you out of class any earlier. Seating: Sit only in your assigned seat. Seating assignments will change as I see fit. Do not get up and walk around the room! If you need to throw something away keep it by your desk until the end of the class. If you need to sharpen a pencil-raise your hand and ask me!!! Visitors: When someone comes to the door, you are expected to stay seated and continue quietly working on your assignment until I can return teaching. Announcements: Whenever announcements are being made, everyone is to be absolutely quiet so everyone can hear what is being said. If someone calls into the classroom for me, do not answer for me. If I am not in the room, I will designate someone to do this. Substitute teachers: When I am absent, all classroom procedures are to be followed as usual. Assigned work will be checked when I return. I expect the substitute to be treated with the utmost respect and I will promptly deal with any misbehavior. Restroom Use & Passes: You are expected to go to the restroom before school, during lunchtime, and between classes. You will not be allowed to go to the restroom unless it is an emergency or if you use a pass. You will receive 4 passes per nine weeks. This includes going to the library. You can also use 4 cane cash to leave the room. Testing begins when the first student receives his or her and ends when the last test is turned in. Procedures include: Ø Not making comments or eye contact with any students Ø Not looking at any other student’s test Ø Having something to do after the test, if you finish early Ø Not speaking once the tests are passed out Absences: It is your responsibility to find out what work you missed if you are absent. If there was an assignment given, you will need to check the assignment notebook located under 'daily assignments'. If the assignment was a worksheet, see me about it. You have only 2 school days to complete assignments after you return to school. I will not ask you for these assignments. It is your responsibility to find out what you missed and get it to me within the 2 days. After that you will receive a zero for the assignment. For missed test, you need to see me and we will schedule a day to make up the test.
Bonus: You can receive extra credit by turning in your passes at the end of the nine weeks and getting your weekly grades signed by your parent or guardian.
I do not accept late work unless you were absent!! |
