7th Grade English Language Arts

Welcome to Fontainebleau Junior High School! I am sure this year is going to be full of fun and excitement for you. Due to the needs for students to learn in a quiet, interruption-free setting, a good and consistent management policy is essential. In order to achieve and maintain this, a few simple expectations will be implemented and followed by all.

EXPECTATIONS:

  1. BE ON TIME

Ø Tardies are turned into the office and are recorded; there are consequences for this habit

  1. BE PREPARED

Ø Have all class materials ready when you come into the classroom

  1. BE RESPECTFUL

Ø Stay seated at all times and keep your hands, feet, and other objects to yourself

Ø Raise your hand to speak; speak and act appropriately

  1. BE RESPONSIBLE

Ø Follow directions the first time

Ø Realize that every action has a consequence

  1. BE HARD WORKING

Ø Keep your desk, books, and assignments neat and orderly

Ø Focus on your task; do not waste time

CONSEQUENCES:

REMINDER

Ø You will be reminded of what you should be doing.

LUNCH DETENTION

Ø You will sit at the lunch detention table in the cafeteria. After repeated offenses your parent or guardian will receive an e-mail or phone call.

OR

LINES/DEFINITIONS

Ø If any given situation calls for it, you will be given lines or vocabulary definitions to write, due the very next day….No exceptions!!

CALL HOME

Ø I will call or e-mail your parent or guardian.

REFERRAL

Ø You will be dealt with by the administration.
