environment. Keeping class materials organized and use of a student
planner are two ways to overcome these challenges.
NOTEBOOK ( poly-binder ) :
** The very first item in your notebook should be this
Curriculum Overview. It will be very useful to you throughout the
school year. Replacements are not given, so be sure to keep your
copy in good condition. ( A plastic pocket works very well. )
** Your binder should have 4 sections each separated by a
labeled divider.
1. Daily Geography/Map Unit ( Daily Geog. Format, current
questions and those graded from previous weeks/ keep all year for
reference; should contain Geog. Terms, all Ch. One material, any map
work practice.)
2. Study Guides/Worksheets/Class Assignments ( label each
chapter)
3.Homework( all should be labeled each chapter
questions are always written out skip lines between each)
4.Graded Work ( all assignments and tests that have been
graded and returned )
*** Your notebook will be the primary source used for study
as well as completing assignments. Keep it well organized.
*** The Graded Work section is especially important when
questions concerning grade discrepancies arise. If the graded paper
can not be produced, then the grade in question will not be
changed.
*** Notebook checks will be made periodically in the form of
quizzes. ( 100 points each )
