As I begin my fifth year at FJH, I realize that I can no longer claim to be
new to the Northshore. Yes, my family and I did float up, and down, after
the menace known as Katrina. But we are now bona fide residents of St.
Tammany, and we are here to stay. I have two sons, two cats, and a patient,
hardworking husband. I love to watch the hummingbirds, cardinals, and
numerous other songbirds in my backyard as I attack the daily crossword
puzzles and sudokus. I have also reconnected to my inner-greenthumb and am
once again getting "down and dirty" in my gardens. I am an avid baseball
fan and continue to pursue my life-long dream of visiting every major league
baseball park.
This year marks my twelfth as a teacher including five years as a sixth
grade teacher and two as a teacher of the Gifted in my home Parish of St.
Bernard. I was warmly welcomed into the family of the Fontainebleau faculty
in October of 2005 and have felt at home ever since.
