Grading Scale

 

A    92-100

 B     83-91 

C     74-82 

 D     65-73

F  64 and below  

grading percentages

80% hw, test, quizes, projects, classwork

20% exam at the end of each nine weeks

 

Class Rules (Discipline will be fair and consistent.)

1. Be on time

2.Receive permission to speak of leave your desk

3. Re respectful of your classmates,teacher, and school property at all times.(This includes words and actions.)

4.Keep binder open and continue to work until the bell rings.

5.Do nothing to hinder the educational process of another student.

Consequences

1 1st offense: Warning

2 2nd offense: write discipline paragraphs 3 times

3 3rd offense: write discipline paragraphs 5 times(parent contacted)

4 4th offense referral

Make up work

It is entirely the student's responsibility to get any make-up work assignments. Students should pick up their work from the make-up folder box in the front of the classroom.

Homework Policy

Homework is used to reinforce concepts learned in class. Please note students will not have homework every night(depending on material covered in class). Homework is due at the beginning of class. Students are encouraged to review material covered in class on a nightly basis.

Class Procedures:

Arrival You are expected to be in your seat with supplies ready when the tardy bell rings. You should begin working on daily math. Do not wait on me to get you started

Dismissal Please remain seated until the bell rings. I will dismiss you not the bell.

Seating Sit only in your assigned seat.

Visitors When someone comes to the door, you are expected to stay seated and quietly work on your assignment.

Announcements Whenever announcements are being made everyone is expected to be quiet so all many hear what is being said. If someone calls into the classroom, only I am to respond.

Bathroom Use Try your best to go to the restroom before school, during lunch, and between classes. You may not go when I am lecturing, or when your are taking notes or working on daily math.

Substitute Teachers On the rare occasion that I am absent, all classroom procedures are to be followed as usual. Assigned work will be checked upon my return. I expect the substitute to be treated with the utmost respect and I will promptly deal with any misbehavior.

Classwork The proper school heading is posted on the wall for assignments to be turned in. Your assignment should be legible and neat. Make sure your name is on your work
