Pre Algebra Lesson PlansWeek of November 9-13
Students will continue to use the distributive property and combine like terms in order to solve two-step equations. Students will define the variable used in word problems. Students will write an equation in order to solve word problems.
Solving One -Step Equations 1. Change all subtraction to Addition 2. Use the Distributive Property if it is there 3. Combine Like Terms 4. Use the Inverse Operation to make Zero Pairs in order to balance the equation
Solving Two- Step Equations Follow same steps as above in addition to: When balancing a two-step equation...always get rid of the addition and subtraction first.
