How will my homework grade be determined in math? Homework - 80% of total grade - 10 points will be given each homework check with the folowing guidelines: A. Proper heading as shown in student handbook B. Copy the problem (not word problems ...but the numerical problems) C. Show all arithmetic done to get your answer in the right column of your paper. Answers only will not be given credit unless teacher specifies it. D. You may have the opportunity to complete your homework one day late for a total of 8 points. A parent signature must be on the homework page in order to receive late credit. E. Homework credit is given for completion and effort (means showing your work and being neat) If there are any problems that you have difficulty with, get a parent signature and you will get the full 10 points for effort. F. Four homework assignments will be taken up weekly. G. Your homework grade will be recorded once weekly for a maximum of 40 points. How will my classwork affect my grade in math? Classwork - 80% of total grade 1. The daily objective should be copied from board each day in the "Notes" section of your math binder. 2. There will be at least two binder checks per nine week period. Each binder check will have a maximum of 25 points. How will quizzes affect my grade in math? Quizzes - 80% of total grade 1. We will have at least four quizzes per nine weeks. 2. Quizzes may or may not be announced. How will tests affect my grade in math? Tests - 80% of total grade 1. There will be at least four tests per nine week period. Each will be a total of 100 points. 2. The Performance Task taken from the guaranteed curriculum may be recorded as a test grade. 3. Projects assigned will be recorded as a test grade. How will the Nine Week Exam affect my grade in math? Nine Week Exam - 20% of total grade 1. One cumulative nine week exam will be given each grading period. 2. A review will be given before the exam. |
