What will I have to do as a student in this class to be successful?

Most important, is to come to class every day and be on time.  You should 
always have your supplies with you, especially your composition notebook.

How will my grade be determined in this class?

Your grade will be based on daily assignments and different types of 
assessments.  Your interactive science notebook will be a very useful tool 
for taking notes, making observations and for reviewing for quizzes and 
tests.  Labs are an integral part of this class and participation and 
cooperation are very important.  Look over the class guidelines for more 
info on the breakdown of grades.

What kind of projects can I expect for the first nine weeks?

You will have 2 current events for the first nine weeks and you will also 
have a project on careers in science.  Info on these projects such as due 
dates etc. will be upcoming.

What is a current event?

Students will be required to use the newspaper, internet, science magazine 
etc. to find an article dealing with areas of life science within the last 3 
months. They will read article and provide summary. Handout will be given 
out with instructions (also available on Handout icon on webpage)
