CLASS RULES

Why we have Rules:

  • To allow each student the opportunity to learn
  • To prevent the disruption of learning
  • To create a safe place to learn

Classroom Expectations

My three rules are...

Consequences:

  • Yellow card handed to student (warning)
  • Red card handed to student (conference with student after class); lunch detention or paragraph assigned to reflect on behavior and signed by parent)
  • Parent/Teacher conference (phone or e-mail)
  • Referral to office

CLASS MATERIALS:

  • looseleaf paper
  • 1" binder
  • pencil/pen
  • scissors
  • highlighter
  • roll of paper towels
  • container of baby wipes
  • FJH planner
  • 3 rolls of scotch tape
  • 1 box of quart sized baggies

GRADING POLICY:

Student's performance for the 9 weeks will be based on a number of different types of assignments and assessments. Depending upon the activities completed, a student's performance will generally be determined as follows:

Parish Grading Scale Our Class Grading System:

92-100 ..........A 20% 9 weeks exam

83-91 ............B 80% all others: daily work (includes participation), lab

reports, HW, current events, chpt.tests,science

74-82 ............C binder, etc.

65-73 ............D

0-64 .............F **Assessments such as projects will be worth 300 points; tests, current events, science binder are worth 200 points
