Class Policies:

1. Always bring a pencil to class (preferably not mechanical).

2. Put your bookbag underneath the back counter.

3. You are always welcome to come into the art room before school to work on a project. Art projects may not be taken home to work on unless a parent picks you up from school and drives you back to school the next morning. You may stay after school to work as long as you give me a day's notice. Art work can be turned in a week after the class deadline with no penalty except during exam week. You will not be allowed to work on it during class after the deadline because we will be working on a new project.

4. I keep all art until after the Art Show in April.

Grading Policies:

Each work of art is graded by using a rubric.  The rubric will include points for following directions, turning the project in on time, neatness, and creativity.  There will be an exam that will be worth 20% of the grade.  Your child will get a review sheet with everything that is needed to prepare for the exam.

The grade weighting is as follows:

Classwork 80% (projects, participation, preparation)

Exam = 20%
