7th grade English: 20% Exam, 80% Other (assignments, tests, etc.)

If you are putting forth effort in class and are still having major writing problems, I will keep working with you (conferencing and editing) and you may keep revising until your grade is a C. My goal for you is to become a better writer. You can do this by receiving feedback on your writing (through mini-conferences with me and through peer constructive critiquing).

Participation grade: Each nine week period, you will be given a grade of 100 for partcipation. Each time an assignment (classwork or homework) is not completed, 5 points will be deducted. Unexcused absences result in a loss of 5 points per day.
