Gym ProceduresProcedures for the Gym
1. All book bags will be placed by the bleachers next to the class roll check area. 2. Dress out, unless instructed otherwise, and sit in roll check spot. If a student is not in roll check spot within eight minutes of the tardy bell then the student is tardy and a tardy slip will be written. 3. Students must have a combination lock to use the lockers in the dressing room. The combination lock ensures that a key is not lost.
4. Students will participate in a daily routine for stretching. This will also include push-ups and sit-ups. It is required for the student to do the routine to get full credit on participation. 5. When going outside we walk as a class to the field. Running ahead or lagging behind will be a rule violation and an action plan will be given.
6. Daily laps will be run all year long as a component of physical fitness. Running the laps is also required to recieve full credit for participation. Also, every student will begin the laps at the same time. The students will wait for me to designate when to start. Starting before everybody else will be a rules violation. 7. Procedures for each sport will be explained prior to the beginning of the sport. If the procedures are not followed then the consequence plan will be implemented. 8. At the end of each hour after each student dresses back in he or she should go back to the roll check area and have a seat. They may go get water and use the restroom at this time, but they should not wander around the gym. I will dismiss the class shortly after the bell rings. |
