This is my fifth year at Fontainebleau Jr. High. I love anything that will
get people active. The sports I was heavily involved in growing up were
jump rope, wrestling, and golf. I am a 2 time national jump rope champion,
and I taught in Germany, Sweden, and various other camps. I was an all
state wrestler my senior year of high school. I also played golf at the
University of New Orleans were I recieved my B.S degree. I was a volunteer
assistant coach for the golf team at UNO during my last sememster. I was a
volunteer wrestling coach at Fisher High School in Laffite. I was also a
volunteer softball coach at Truman Middle school on the westbank. I then
got the job here at Fontainebleau Jr. I coach football, 7th grade
basketball ,and track. We have had great success and hope to continue the
trend. we could not do it witout the wonderful parents and students that
come through our school. I love my job here and enjoy coming to work
everyday. My expertise is not just in the sports that I have named but in
many different areas from badminton to four square. I hope that every
student enjoys, learns, and has fun in my class.
I have recently been awarded a subsidy to recieve my nation board
certification and will be going through the rigorous trial of becoming
national board certified. This is a great challenge that has many great
rewards. I hav also been selected to teach a jump rope clinic at the
LaAPHERD convention this year. It is a great honor and yet another great
challenge.
I will educate students in how to live a healthy lifestyle and teach them
the fundamentals of various sports and activities.
