SPANISH 6:
The year's major project for all Spanish 6 students comes in October. Los Días de Los Muertos, or The Days of the Dead, proves for every sixth-grader to be a most meaningful experience and one that students and their family members will not easily forget. All reverence is observed as students research the lives of lost loved ones, no longer with us, who have passed on, and then present a full report on that chosen loved one and the life he/she well spent.
SPANISH 7:
Major project each year for Spanish 7 students is our Christmas Caroling Project. Students will make and design their own sombreros and panchos to wear when they carol to several area nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. All carols are sung in Spanish and English and students provide small gifts for each resident we visit! And, as if that were not enough, they top it all off with a live performance before the entire GES Student Body at the Christmas Pep Rally!
SPANISH I: Major project each year for Spanish I students is our Carnival de la Primavera, or Spanish Spring Festival. Students work for weeks on end preparing their show, skits, and culinary delights for the entire student body and faculty. Needless to say, Spanish is majorly involved!! More information to come your way about this much anticipated annual affair after Christmas break!
