Christmas Around the World Report
Your report is due Monday, December 14th, and you will receive two Social
Studies grades on it. You need to practice reading the report aloud. You may
pick any foreign country to report on. Use the Library, encyclopedias, or
the Internet for resources. Where pictures have to be drawn, you must draw
them, not print them from a computer. Include some of the following
information in your report:
• The day(s) of celebration
• Weather at Christmas
• Christmas customs
• Who brings the gifts, what kinds of gifts
• How Merry Christmas is said in that country
• Christmas decorations and food
• How their Christmas is different from ours
• Draw and color a picture of a Christmas custom or symbol for that
country.
