My name is Nancy Franzo. I graduated many years ago with a Bachelor
of Science degree in Elementary Education from C.W. Post College in New
York. That is where I grew up. I have three grown children and four
grandaughters. We also have a foster son who is attending the University of
Louisiana at Monroe. Our family also includes 4 golden retrievers named
Bailey, Montana, Bear and Liberty who keep us busy.
Before teaching at Honey Island I taught preschool,
kindergarten and English as a Second language. This will be my 17th year
teaching second grade at Honey Island. I enjoy working with a new group of
students and their families each year. For the same reason I became a foster
parent, as a teacher I believe I can make a difference in a child's life. I
look forward to getting to know each of you and working with you to make
this an exciting and educational year for your child.
