I have received my B.A. degree in Elementary Education from University of
New Orleans and am certified to teach Pre K through 8th grade. I am also
National Board Certified. I have been teaching for ten years and have
taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, First, Third and Fourth Grades.
This year is my second and final year for my Masters' Degree at Southeastern
LA University for Supervision & Administration. As vice president of the
Northshore Reading Council, I chair the Young Author's Contest and also
enjoy
facilitating the publication of HIE student writings. Last year our school
published over 150 books!
During the summer months, I attended summer school at SELU and coordinated
our district's first foreign language camp - Campamento Espanol.
I love to travel and learn about new cultures, but other interests and
hobbies are singing, playing the guitar, tennis, chatting with friends at
coffee houses, going to the movies, listening to my ipod, and spoiling my
two dogs - a JRT & a mutt.
And last but not least, my pride and joy, Maggie, has entered
her second year of college at LSU to pursue a degree in psychology and
Spanish
(until she changes her mind again).
