About The Teacher
My name is Jennifer Sprung and I am a special education teacher for second grade this year at Honey Island Elementary. I have been teaching special education for fifteen years and have taught grade ranges from kindergarten through fourth grade in this specialty area. Teaching is my passion, and I especially love helping students learn to read. I have a Master's Degree in education from the University of New Orleans and plan on one day pursuing a Doctoral Degree.

Mission
It is my firm belief that every student that enters my classroom has the ability to learn, regardless of their level of disability. In order to identify and address a student's learning style, I use a variety of multisensory instructional practices. Students should be aware of how they learn best and given many strategies to facilitate their own learning. Every child deserves the opportunity to display their own individual gifts and talents.
