What time should my child be school?

The bell rings at 8:17 and school begins at 8:20.  Students 
arriving after 
that will be counted tardy.

What time is school over?

School is over at 3:31.  The first bus group will leave at 3:31.

What should I do if my child is absent?

If your child is absent, you will need to send a note.  Excused 
absences 
require a doctor's note.

How did I notify the school of a transportation change?

If your child will be going home in a different way than usual, 
you will 
need to notify the school in writing. Please include your child's 
full name, 
the date, teacher's name, and your signature.  Please remind your 
child to 
remember to give this note to their teacher in the morning.

When is homework due?

Homework is always due the next day after it is assigned.  
Monday's homework 
is due on Tuesday.  Tuesday's homework is due on Wednesday, etc. 
Please 
encourage your child to complete their homework independently as 
much as 
possible. 
The homework sheet will be sent home the first day of each school 
week.  It 
will be posted on the website the weekend before.

When will graded papers be coming home?

Graded papers are sent home on the first day of each school 
week.  Please 
sign the Graded Papers folder and return to school the next 
school day.

What is the policy on school visitors and volunteers?

All visitors and volunteers need to sign in at the front offcie 
and wear an 
identification badge while on the campus.  This is a state law 
and is 
important for your child's safety.  Please sign in the volunteer 
book in the 
front office.
Unexpected classroom visits and hall conferences are not allowed 
at our 
school.  If you need to see or drop something off for your child, 
the office 
will send for your child.

When should lunch money be paid?

Lunch money should be paid weekly or monthly.  Please send in an 
envelope 
with your child's name, the amount paid, their lunch number, and 
their 
teacher's name.

Can I meet my child for lunch?

You may come any day to eat with your child.  Our lunch time is 
from 12:40 
to 1:00.  Recess follows from 1:00 to 1:20.  If your arrive 
early, please 
wait on the bench by the office.

Does my child need a snack each day?

Our class eats a snack each morning.  Please send something light 
and easy 
to eat.

Can I send in a snack for my child's birthday?

You may send in snacks for your child to celebrate their birthday 
at school. 
They can share these snacks at our snack time.

When should library books be returned?

Our library day is on Monday.  However, second grade students can 
return a 
library book each morning between 9:00 and 11:00.

What should I do if my child looses their homework sheet?

The homework sheet can be found on this website and on 
schoolnotes.com each 
week.  Your child can request another copy of the homework sheet 
from me.
