I have been teaching forever. Actually, I just completed my thirty-
seventh year of teaching. I taught for 7 years in Texas and one year in
Florida.
I have been teaching in Slidell for 29 years and 20 of those years have been
at Honey Island. I have a bachelors and a masters in Elementary
Education.
I am originally from east Texas. My husband was born in New Orleans
and, after working in Houston for many years, was transferred back to New
Orleans. I am now a widow and have three daughters. My oldest daughter is
married and lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina where she
works as an environmental engineer. My middle daughter lives here in
Slidell and works for a vet. My youngest daughter goes to
LSU and is very excited to be the captain of the LSU Color Guard.
I enjoy working at Honey Island and hope that together we can make
this a very successful year for your child.
