How can I best support my child's math progress?

Help your child learn their math facts (+,-, x). Study them
until they know them without having to think about it. Use a
variety of formats for practice. There are many good math
computer games, as well as flash cards and music CDs. Point out
ways that math is used in daily life.

How can I help my child become a better writer?

Have your child write thank-you notes, shopping lists, to do
lists, wish lists, etc. Ask your child to write about their
feelings and experiences in a journal. Help your child to see
how we use writing in our everyday lives.

How can I help my child with AR?

Students are given 30 minutes of AR reading time every day. Most
students will be able to meet their goals during this time.
However, if your child is falling behind in AR, he/she can read
AR books at home. Please write the name of the book and the
author on a sheet of paper and place in the homework folder.
The student can take a test on it the following day. Please help
supply your child with interesting books in his/her reading level.
