About The Teacher

Hi, my name is Trissy Bent.  I moved to Slidell in 1992.  I moved to my 
current residence in Abita Springs in 2004.  Before then, I lived in 
Virginia, California and Texas.  I am married and have three children.  
Geoffy is married to Colleen and they live in Charlotte, NC.  Byron is 
married to Aimee and they live in Phoenix, AZ.  My youngest, Sean. just moved 
to St. Louis, MO. I also have two dogs (Buster and Trigger) and a cat Tony.  
The cat rules the house. :)  This is my 16th year at Honey Island.

My undergraduate degree is in Elementary Eduacation and I have a 
Master's degree in Management and Communication. I also havea Master's Plus 
30. I have worked 3 years in a Special Education Classroom and 
5 years in an Inclusion classoom.  All of my experience has been at Honey 
Island, with 12 years in 3rd grade and this will be my 4th year in 2nd grade. 
It has been a wonderful journey with my students.

I encourage parents to come to our classroom and participate in your 
child's learning. They enjoy seeing your face and sharing your company with 
their classmates.
