VOLUNTEERS WANTED FOR FIELD DAY THIS FRIDAY, MAY 11TH!! BONUS POINT OPPORTUNITY!!! Do you feel you could benefit from a few extra points in Social Studies? If your answer is yes, please continue reading...In an effort to improve class grades and make parents aware of their child's performance in class, beginning on February 3rd and continuing every Friday until the end of the year, students may bring in a SIGNED print out of their grades in my class.   You will need to print out a copy of your class work grades from STI and have a parent/guardian sign their name somewhere on the paper. After handing this in, you may choose any classwork or homework grade to add an additional 5 points to!! If this is done often enough, the bonus points will definitely add up quickly!

ATTENTION IPHONE AND ITOUCH USERS! Do you have an old iTouch sitting around your house unused?  Have you recently upgraded your iPhone to a newer version and no longer need the older one? If so, we are collecting iPhones and iTouches to use in our class and would LOVE your old device! You may send your device to school with your child at anytime. Thanks!!

 WELCOME BACK MARLINS!!!  Welcome to our class website.  As you will soon see, this site will provide a plethora of information pertaining to both 7th and 8th Grade History classes. The purpose of this site is to assist students with class assignments and homework, as well as serve as a source of information for parents.   Students: For those of you who are new to my class or new to Monteleone, I cannot tell you how excited I am to have the opportunity to work with you and get to know you throughout the upcoming year.  To those students whom I had the pleasure of teaching last year, welcome back!  My expectations for you are high and I will be looking to you to set an example for the class as you already know my high expectations. This site can be used in a variety of ways:  to obtain homework and class assignments and reminders, copies of handouts and PowerPoint Presentations, communication, etc.  Though this site is a very helpful tool and is updated frequently, it should not be used as a substitute for regular class attendance, participation, and teacher instruction. Parents: In order for your child to get the best educational experience possible, I hope that you will please do the following: help limit absences, monitor your child's planner and homework each day, encourage them to participate in school activities, and become a part of our Monteleone Family by volunteering in some capacity!
