Intro to BCA

DAILY Procedure: SIGN ON; TEACHERWEB.COM (minimize to your task bar); POWERSCHOOL; ONLY YOUR PLANNER ON DESK; BOOKSACKS UNDER THE COUNTER
Bellringers (Temporarily discontinued until further notice while working on certification tests)
Everyday at the beginning of class:
1. Work in Microtype (Practice Timed Writings 1, 2, 3, 5 minutes using the various writings; (Goal - to reach at least 50 words GWAM with NO errors on a 5 minute timed-writing).
2. This week a 3 minute timed writing will be given worth 50 points.
3. Skill Building - Under Accuracy Emphasis begin with Assessment 1 and A-E Lessons
4. Communications Skills
5. Word 2007 section; NO GAMES without permission (Last 5 minutes only unless you are IC3 Certified)

Steps to MOS Certification

1. Certiprep-Learning Mode: Questions 1-38

2. Certiprep Practice Test (26 questions) (Must make over 840)

3. Microsoft Office Review Sheets: Exercises from S drive, Study Guide Question Checklist, and Task List.

4. MOS CERTIFICATION TEST (must make a 660 or higher) You are officially MOS Certified!!!

Steps to IC3 Certification

***Key Applications:

1. Earn MOS Certification

2. SAM Microsoft Excel Lessons 1 4

3. SAM Microsoft PowerPoint Lessons 1 4

4. Review SAM Word (if necessary - if you passed MOS but score was low)

5. SAM IC3 Key Applications Training AND Exam

6. Certiport Online Exam PRACTICE TEST Key Applications (take with permission only)

7. Take the IC3 KEY APPLICATIONS TEST (Need a 680) (Must schedule to take)

***Living Online:

1. SAM IC3 Living Online Training AND Exam

2. SAM Office Basics and Internet Training

3. TEACHERWEB - Complete the two (2) IC3 Prep Living OnLine Study Guides

4. Certiport Online Exam PRACTICE TEST Living Online (with permission only)

5. Take the IC3 LIVING ONLINE TEST (Need a 660) (Schedule to take)

***Computing Fundamentals:

1. SAM IC3 Computing Fundamentals Training (only 8 Quesions) AND Exam

2. TEACHERWEB - Complete the four (4) IC3 Prep CF Study Guides (Figure File Provided)

3. Certiport Online Exam-PRACTICE TEST-Computing Fundamentals (with permission only)

4. Take the IC3 COMPUTING FUNDAMENTALS TEST (Need a 710) (Schedule)

After taking all three IC3 Exams you are officially IC3 Certified!!!

After receiving both the MOS and the IC3 Certifications, begin working in Certiprep again on PowerPoint and Excel using the Learning Mode first.

Finished Early??? Here are some suggestions: Microtype Communication Skills and/or 2007 Word Presentations. Read your AR book; work on Homework for other classes, update your planner, check your grades on PowerSchool, browse the LOHS or LPSB websites, pick out of the following websites: www.freetypinggame.net; www.coolmath-games.com; www.funbrain.com; or www.learn4good.com. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO OTHER WEBSITES without permission.
