1. Thanks to everyone who visited our class blog last week. It's not too late to listen to the
bugle and the flute and vote for your favorite!
2. It was wonderful to see so many of you at Lyon Lagniappe last week! 13 families out of 19
in our class came to enjoy the evening of fun and learning. Don't forget to return your evaluation
of the evening if you haven't done so yet.
3. Money for our field trip to Fontainebleau State Park is due this Thursday, November 12. If you
are interested in chaperoning our field trip, please let me know. There is no cost for chaperones.
We will be learning about Louisiana plants and animals and the wetlands. We'll eat a picnic lunch
there too. The bus leaves from school at 9:00 and will return shortly after 2:00.
5. For the next two weeks our class will study Native Americans. We'll learn how different tribes
lived according to the environment around them. Shelter, food, and culture will be part of what we
will learn about the tribes that lived all over North America. Parents, if you have any knowledge or
artifacts that you are interested in sharing with our class, please let me know. We love having
guests visit our class!
