Thanks to all those that brought in items for the ice cream sundae celebration. The students loved being able to create their own sundaes.
Field trip permission slips for our last trip to the Audubon Insectarium in New Orleans will be going home soon. Please keep an eye out for these in your child's binder.
First grade students will be testes this Tuesday on end-of-year DIBELS assessments. Please continue to read with your child each night.
Please continue to work with your child nightly and keep them engaged as the curriculum continues to become more and more challenging. These are all skills students will need to move on to second grade. There are only 4 weeks of school left! I can't believe how fast this school year has flown by.
Please make sure you are checking your child's graded papers each Thursday when they are sent home and reviewing them with your child. This is a great way to see where mistakes are being made. Please send all graded papers back each week and sign the folder.
Please remember to read with your child every night.
By the end of the school year students should be reading 47 words correctly in 1 minute with at least 90% accuracy and be able to give a 15 word minimum retell about what they read.
