I hope you enjoyed the holiday season.  It is time to buckle down and get serious about preparing for iLEAP testing.  It is very important that children master their basic math facts and ready nightly. I will be adding a flipchart that will give you tips to help prepare you and your child for testing.  You will find this in the flipchart link.

You may now access our Macmillan Treasures Reading Book online from home.  Step by step instructions went home in your child's TEST FOLDER.  

http://www.brainpop.com/ is a wonderful site that we visit often in class. You may access the videos and on line quizzes from home.  The username and password can be found in your child's binder. Visit with Tim and Moby while taking an educational journey through a myriad of subjects.
 
You can also access flipcharts at home by clicking on the flipchart icon on the home page.  You will have to download a viewer from http://www.prometheanplanet.com/server.php?show=nav.15853
 
Please continue to check that your child has completed his/her homework and sign in the space provided on the homework contract each night.  Your support sends a powerful message to your
child on the value of education.  Thank you, very much, for working with me in this area.  

It is chilly in the classroom. If you child is cold please send them with a lightweight sweater....NOT A WINTER COAT!!!
 
We continue to work on school/classroom policies. Please talk to your child about the importance of following school rules. Those students who choose not to follow "Elmer's Expectations" also choose to accept the consequences of their choices.
