Weekly Announcements:
Don't forget that this is the final week before the Thanksgiving holidays. I hope that you and your families enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving.

For the next two weeks our class will study Native Americans. We'll learn how different tribes
lived according to the environment around them. Shelter, food, and culture will be part of what we
will learn about the tribes that lived all over North America. Parents, if you have any knowledge or
artifacts that you are interested in sharing with our class, please let me know. We love having
guests visit our class! In addition, each child will need a toilet paper tube to make a Native American craft.
So, please remember to send them to school with your child.
These website have tons of really fun and educational games for kids. It is a great site to find extra practice at home or just to have fun!

Reading Counts began on September 15. Students are given the opportunity to check out “Reading Counts” books each week at the library. I also check out many of these books that are housed in our class “Book Nook.” My students are also given time to read and take Reading Counts tests in class. I encourage students to gain a minimum of 2 points per week. Ask your child how many points he/she has so far.
