About The Teacher
I grew up in Covington, LA. I am a graduate of University of Louisiana- Lafayette with a B.A. in Elementary Education and Southeastern Louisiana University with a master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction in Gifted Education. I have been teaching for the past 17 years, teaching grades 1- 4. This will be my fifth year teaching multi-age gifted students. I love to learn new things and love to share my knowledge with others. I have trained the new teachers of the gifted in this parish for the past 2 summers, have presented to other gifted colleagues at our Summer Institute Conference, and have helped worked on writing curriculum and work stations for gifted K - 3 for our district. I live in Covington with my loving husband, 2 children, and mini-dachshund, Gumbo. I am the proud mother of Catherine (9th grader) and Sydney (6th grader).
