Circus Day with Dr. Roth is on Monday, May 14th.

3rd Grade Awards Ceremony will be on Monday, May 21st at 10:00 a.m.  I look 
forward to seeing many of you at this special program honoring the 3rd 
graders who will be leaving Lyon Elementary for middle school next year.

May 22nd. is the last day of school for children.  Students will only attend 
in the morning for 1/2 day.  All students will be dismissed at 12:31 p.m.  
AfterCare WILL NOT be available on that day.

STAR Testing and Check Points Testing for 3rd graders takes place in the 
classrooms this week.

Yearbook orders are still being accepted.  The purchase price is $16.00.  
Your child will cherish the exceptional collection of pictures and memories 
shared during the 2011-2012 school year.

Please help me by making sure your child knows how he/she is getting home 
from school each day.  If there are transportation changes home, I will need 
to have a written note detailing the changes.  School policy does not allow 
me to take your child's word for any changes - parents must provide 
permission through Lyon's office staff.

Encourage your child to read at least 20 minutes daily. Remember, children 
LOVE when you read to them! Curl up on your favorite comfy chair and share in 
the joy of reading a great story with your child.
