My name is Beverly Gremillion and I have been teaching 3rd grade for 17
years. I live here in Covington with my husband Jimmy and our three boys,
John, Marc, and Paul. I am the product of the St. Tammany Public School
program. I went to Covington Middle, Pineview (when it was an all girl
school), and Covington High. I have an associated degree in computer science
and bachelor degree in education from Southeastern Louisiana. I love to read
classic novels, fish, and watch my boys play sports. But most of all, I love
to teach.
I feel that students learn well if there is an environment that is safe. I
try to make my class a safe place where it is Ok to ask questions, explore
new things, and to make mistakes. Remember, no one is perfect. I also treat
my kids (students) the way I would like for other teachers to treat my three
boys, John, Marc, and Paul. Yes, I fuss at my kids, but I also treat them
with respect and kindness. Students learn from our behaviors and how we
handle different situations. If we yell and fuss all the time, so will our
children.
