Even though I was born in west Texas, I grew up in Madisonville. I even
attended M.E.S and M.J.H as a child. So it is a wonderful experience watching
the school grow and change! I have been married to Roman for 12 years and we
have a 10 year old son named Kolton. (This will be the first year that he is
not attending the same school where I am teaching.) This summer we adopted a
new puppy to our family, Cooper. We live in Ponchatoula and love the less
traveled, quiet area. As a family, we enjoy fishing, hunting, and just being
outdoors.
After losing my mother 2 years ago, life has really changed for me
personally. She was the center of my family and it has been challenging to
move on without her. But the one thing she was most proud of me for, was that
I was a teacher. So as I enter my 8th year of teaching, I hope that I can
continue to make her proud and be the best that I can for my students.
Our students will become thoughtful learners in our school and community.
