I am a resident of Covington, LA, although I grew up across the lake in
Metairie. I have two beautiful and active daughters, ages 7 and 3 1/2 years.
I also have an adorable 5 year old step-son. My 7 year old attends
Madisonville Elementary and will begin 2nd grade this year. I love being a
close observer of her education and enjoy watching her interact with her
friends in our learning community.
I graduated from University of New Orleans in 2000 with a BA in Elementary
Education. I also serve as a mentor teacher for teachers new to St. Tammany
Parish. I have been teaching in St. Tammany Parish for eight years. I have
previously taught 6th, 7th, 5th, 2nd and 1st grades. I absolutely love
teaching first grade at Madisonville Elementary.
I know that your children and I will have a terrific year together.
My mission is very simple. I strive to create a positive and nurturing
atmosphere where all learners are welcome and encouraged to learn to the
best
of their ability.
