This week we will continue our unit on money. We will be, counting groups of coins and bills, adding money, “making change” and solving a variety of real life application problems related to money.
Enduring Understandings
Standardization allows people to communicate more easily
A number has a value that can be represented in many different forms.
There are many ways that money can be earned, spent and saved.
There is more than one way to solve a problem.
It is important to be able to tell how I solved a problem.
Words to Know
Money, dollars, cents, currency, change, value, purchase, exact change
Test will be given an Friday. Performance Task will be given on Thursday.
Materials- Scott Foresman Math, Investigations, Various Websites. Calculators, Power Point
Remember to check FISH binder for homework each night!
