YOU’RE INVITED to the annual FIRST GRADE CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
MONDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2009
12:30 P.M. in the gym
Please join us immediately following the program
for a CHRISTMAS CAST RECEPTION in our classroom.
All family members who are attending the performance
are welcomed to visit our classroom.
Students are asked to arrive at school wearing their “Sunday Best”
clothing. This will be our attire for the performance. Please adhere to
the St. Tammany Parish dress code guidelines when selecting your child’s
attire for the performance. Students should not wear crocs or sandals.
Due to having an afternoon performance time, students will have an indoor
recess.

December is jam packed with activities and programs. You can help your
child stay focused on academics by sticking to the homework routine, checking
folders daily, and discussing weekly test.

Friday, December 18th marks the end of the second quarter. Dismissal will
be at 11:31. There will be no After School Care program on this day.

Polar Express and Pajama Day
Friday, December 18, 2009 (1/2 day of school)
Dismissal will be at 11:31 p.m.
On this day we will enjoy an imaginary train ride to the North Pole on the
Polar Express. Every student will be given a train ticket and a seat in the
classroom to watch the movie Polar Express. Students will be allowed to wear
pajamas and bring a small stuffed animal to school. Students will complete
fun learning activities, drink hot chocolate and eat cookies. The students
may wear their pajamas over their clothes or as their outfit for the day. If
you would rather your child wear his/her uniform, they might want to wear a
bathrobe over it. Please wear regular shoes, no slippers. Students will go
to lunch at 10:10 and school will dismiss at 11:31. There will be no after
school care.

checking folders daily, and discussing weekly test. To get credit for
homework completion, homework must be turned in on time or recorded on
homework note (choice #).
