* Our Christmas party will be on Thursday, December 17th, from 8:30-9:15.
Parents are welcome to attend. No siblings....sorry!
* Next Friday, Dec. 18th, will be a 1/2 day fro the children. Mrs. Spencer
will read The Polar Express to us and we'll be able to view the movie after.
We're also going to be able to wear our pajamas and drink hot chocolate!
* A parent of a child in our room is a teacher at CHS. Her students took a
field trip to our class on Wednesday. The children all had "buddies" from her
class. They played games, read books and made some craft items with the kids.
Ask your child about it! They had a blast!
* In the future, I'd appreciate if all Scholastic orders could be placed to
me using the paper order forms. If you'd like to place an order and only want
to place it online, please let me know. Otherwise, I won't set up the
catalogs online.
* We're in need of glue bottles and glue sticks. If you're able to donate
any, I would appreciate it!
* Reminder: You can send me some long pants and a long sleeved shirt for your
child to put in a bag for "extras" in our classroom now that the weather is
cooler. Please put in a ziploc labeled with your child's name on the outside.
* I'm going to begin reading folders the week we return to school after the
Christmas holidays. I'll explain more about it at that time.
* Dad's Science Night in January has been changed. The date is now January
26th from 6-7:30 p.m. Please make note.
* Please remember that it's a good idea to review at home the things we're
learning about during the week! Ex: Ask your child on a daily basis to
recognize or spell the color words and high frequency words.
