* I hope everyone had a nice Christmas holiday with your family! I would like
to say "thank you" for all of the Christmas wishes, cards, gifts, etc. I
received before we left. I feel spoiled!
* Report cards go home on Friday, January 8th.
* Reading folders are going home today. These folders should be kept at home
until the end of the year. Please take care of them as I like to reuse them
each year, if possible. Everyone will start off with list 1. When your child
has mastered recognizing ALL of the sight words on the list, please let me
know. I'll test him/her and send home the next list. There are 5 lists total,
so start practicing!
* Scholastic book orders are due to me by Friday, Jan. 8th.
* We're in need of glue bottles and glue sticks. If you're able to donate
any, I would appreciate it!
* Reminder: You can send me some long pants and a long sleeved shirt for your
child to put in a bag for "extras" in our classroom now that the weather is
cooler. Please put in a ziploc labeled with your child's name on the outside.
* Dad's Science Night in January has been changed. The date is now January
26th from 6-7:30 p.m. Please make note.
* Please remember that it's a good idea to review at home the things we're
learning about during the week! Ex: Ask your child on a daily basis to
recognize or spell the color words and high frequency words.
