Welcome to Transitional First. I am looking forward to working with you and
your child this school year. Our classroom will be an active, hands on
learning environment. Make sure your child has a nutritious breakfast and
adequate rest so they can meet the challenges of each new day.
Every night your child will bring home a folder containing homework
assignments, checked papers and notes or letters from me or the school.
Please check this folder nightly. Checked papers are to be looked over and
kept. Homework assignments are to be returned the next day. Please respond
to all notes and notices in a timely manner. Place notes for me inside the
folder. Impress upon your child the importance of this folder and see that
it is returned to school each day.
Important Reminders:
1. Money: Please send all money to school in an envelope with your child's
name and the purpose for the money. Remember to put child's lunch number on
lunch money.
2. Labeling: Please write your child's name on all materials and
supplies. This includes coats, sweaters, lunch boxes and book bags.
3. Conferences: Please contact the office or send a note with your child
if you would like a conference. You can also contact me at
mary.brewster@stpsb.org.
4. Transportation: Please send a note or call the office if your child's
transportation home changes for the day. Without a note or a call your
child will go home the way they usually do.
5. We will have PE on Tuesday and Friday. Remember to wear tennis shoes.
