Homework Calendar Week of November 16 - 20
Monday
Spelling: Write each word missed on today’s pretest 5 times. (If you
received the 5 extra challenge words, please write them 3 times each.) Do
this in your spelling notebook with a complete heading for spelling.
Remember to use your best penmanship because messy work will need to be
rewritten.
Reading: Review your vocabulary from this week’s lesson using your purple
vocabulary folder. You do not need to memorize the definitions, but you must
be able to recognize the words and use them correctly in sentences. This is
an ORAL assignment, not a written one.
Math: Complete workbook page 42.
Science: Review today’s lesson by reading the reading the paragraph you
copied into your notebook. If necessary, complete your picture. Begin
studying for Thursday’s test on animals.
Important Messages: Remember to get Mom or Dad to sign your graded papers
folder and return it to class tomorrow.
Tuesday
Spelling: Write 8 sentences using at least 8 different words from this
week’s pretest. Do this in your spelling notebook with a complete heading.
This week’s challenge word is “Thanksgiving.” Be sure to use a capital
letter at the beginning of each sentence and an ending punctuation mark.
Underline the spelling word used in each sentence. Remember to use your best
