· This week in reading we study fables, myths, legends, and tall tales.
· Students will not be responsible for vocabulary this week, as we will be working on a review of the past few phonics concepts.
Enduring Understandings
· Knowing the parts of a story will help me understand what I am reading.
· Life lessons are sometimes communicated through story-telling.
History is passed down through story-telling.

· In Language we will be finishing our poetry unit. We also work on descriptive writing and plural nouns.
· Editing and dictated sentences quizzes will be given on Thursday. Language concepts test will be given on Friday.
In Spelling we will review various phonetic concepts. Test will be given on Friday.
