Our "Best of the Bayou" student is the student of the week. Each week I will choose a student who has earned this honor through good character and hard work.  This student will be announced in our closing circle on the Friday prior to the week that he/she will be our class' Best of the Bayou.  Information will be sent home for his/her parents notifying them of their child's accomplishment and there will be special activities each day for our special student. 

 
  Week of 12-7-09
Blake is always smiling!  He enjoys doing special activities with his church and his family.  He likes to take care of his different pets and has been having lots of loose teeth!  Blake has a wonderful kindness that he shares with the class!


  Week of 11-30-09
Tyler is our horse expert!  Any questions about horses, the students know to go ask Tyler!  He is known for being helpful in the classroom.  Tyler has such a sweet smile and is terrific at getting along with all of his classmates. He makes Mrs. Penn feel "extra special" by writing nice notes to his teacher!

  Week of 11-16-09

Ainsley loves to go out to dinner with her mom and her dad.  She enjoys watching sports, especially "O.U. and the Saints".  Ainsley makes Mrs. Penn smile when she tells her teacher that she "had fun at school today".

 

 

   Week of 11-9-09

Kinley loves to read chapter books, especially Junie B. Jones books.  She started taking violin lessons this year and is enjoying learning to play.   She is an excellant artist and is so kind to her classmates!

Cameron enjoys playing sports, especially football.  Cameron loves to write all kinds of things in first grade and illustrates the pictures beautifully!  He is known for his "quality work" and wants to be a writer when he grows up.

 

 

  Week of 10-26-09 Jakob loves reading about dinosaurs!  He loves reading about anything that has to do with these prehistoric animals.  He is known for getting very excited about learning new things.  When he reads a good book, he says he is "jumping into a new adventure".

Madison enjoys going to her grandparents' house.  She loves playing with friends and going fun places.  Madison is known for trying her best on all class assignments and being a good friend to others.

 

  Week of 10-5-09

Drake enjoys playing sports, especially football.  He dreams of being a professional football player.  He is quick in math and likes to go to Learning Stations. Drake is a big helper who works hard to do his best.

   

  Week of 9-28-09

Sean-Bradley enjoys four wheeler riding and spending time with his family.  He likes to do creative writing and has terrific math logic.  He is known for always doing his best with his schoolwork.

 

 

   Week of Sept. 21

Amanda enjoys swimming, fishing, and go crabbing with her family. She begins each day with a cheerful attitude and loves to help.  She is known for helping out in any way she can.

 

       Week of 9-14-09

 Jacob enjoys playing hockey and going fishing.  He loves to draw and takes such pride in his work.  Jacob is known for always a having a big smile and "choosing his attitude".

Sydney is our first student chosen as the Best of the Bayou.  She enjoys playing outside and taking gymnastics.  She is known for helping her classmates.
