                              November 2-6

Monday- Look at a November calendar with your child. Complete the following.
Count the days in the month as you track it with your finger. Spell/read the
word “November” Ask your child how many days are in a week. Read the days in
the week. Ask your child questions such as; What is the first day in the week?
Last? What day of the week starts with the /m/ sound etc. Ask your family
members what is their favorite day of the week and why. You do not have to
turn anything in for this activity.

Tuesday- Complete pages 73-74 as well as pages 77-78.

Wednesday- Read the sight word book “We Can Go!” Complete page 79-80. Read “I
See a Tiger” and “Go Iguana” located in a sheet protector. Your child might
not be able to read every word but they should be able to read the sight words
as well as tell you what sound and word they notice the most in each poem. If
you come to a word you do not know, please help your child stretch it out.

Thursday-.We are reviewing /t/ and /i/ this week. Have your child tell you
words that begin with these sounds. Review all sight words that we have
learned since Unit 1. These are “sight words” and your child should be able to
recite them quickly. Please practice the ones they are struggling with. Also
simg the “four” song. Next week we will begin a new unit along with new sight
words. Now is the time to strengthen those skills before we move on.
