This checklist is a way for your child to keep track of the books he or she is reading. The amount of books required will change each nine week period. Your child should be reading books on his or her level. Each genre (type) of book listed should be completed. This checklist will have a due date listed on the bottom of the checklist. As long as all sections are completed on the checklist, your child will get an "A" on this reading assignment.Back to Top

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights your child should read the passage out loud to you while you are timing them. Your child should record the title of the passage, the date, and the amount of time it took to read the passage out loud on the log sheet. You should initial the log sheet indicating that your child read the passage for the amount of time written on the log.
