Spelling Words
Dear Parents,
Listed below are the spelling lessons we will be studying during
the second unit. Each week students will focus on a specific phonics skill.
The list also includes some high frequency words that students use most often
in writing. On Monday of each week, the skill introduction, required words,
and student evaluation will be completed. I will highlight and assign the
required words to your child based on their weekly needs. Your child should
review their spelling words each night by completing spelling choices for
homework. On Thursday, we will take a spelling test. Your child will only be
graded on their highlighted words that they have studied during the week.
However, they may earn extra points for any of the other words they know on
the list. Please keep this list in their folder as a reference.
