Weekly Parent Communication December 14 - 18, 2009
English Language Arts
This week your child will review all letters and vocabulary words previously
learned.
We will continue discussing holiday traditions around the world.
Textbook & Other References: Macmillan/McGraw-Hill language series,
Christmas Around the World, The Legend of the Poinsettia, The Polar Express
Math
This week your child will review all math concepts previously
covered.
Textbook & Other References: Scott Foresman, Everyday Math Counts
On Thursday, we will have our Christmas party from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m.
All parents are invited to attend. No siblings are allowed. If you have
been asked to send an item for the party, please send it in by Wednesday. I
need these items ahead of time to prepare for the party.
On Friday, we will have "Polar Express Pajama Day". Students may
wear pajamas to school. Mrs. Spencer will read the book, The Polar Express,
to the children. Then, we will view the movie. We will also serve hot
chocolate and snacks. School will dismiss at 11:31 a.m. for teachers'
recordkeeping.
