Dear Parents,
This week in reading we will study the vocabulary words from “Head, Body,
Legs”, “ Meet the Super Croc”, “Officer Buckle and Gloria”, “The Alvin Ailey
Kids”, and “Click, Clack, Moo”. We will review sh,th, wh, ch, tch, ea, ee,
str, spr, scr , long u, e , cause and effect, using illustrations,
summarizing, calendar, synonyms, antonyms, context clues, suffixes, present
& past tense verbs, and combining sentences. This week in math, we will
study fractions. We will not have a math test this week. In social
studies we will study how other countries celebrate Christmas. Christmas
Study Guide test will be Tuesday.

MONDAY
Reading – Study vocabulary words and definitions from “Head, Body, Legs”
and “ Meet the Super Croc” in the reading folder and practice book pg.
125 (review vocabulary)
Language – - Write 5 action verbs in the spelling notebook
Spelling – Review Lesson – Write words two times each in the spelling
notebook
Math - worksheet pg. 86 (equal parts)
Social Studies - study Christmas Study Guide for test tomorrow
TUESDAY
Reading - Study vocabulary words and definitions from “Officer Buckle and
Gloria” and “The Alvin Ailey Kids” in the reading folder and do practice
book pg. 126 (review vocabulary)
Language – write past tense verbs for the following in the spelling
notebook “Run, Call, Hope, hop”
Spelling – Review Lesson – write the first 5 words in ABC order in spelling
notebook
Math - worksheet pg. 87 (unit fractions)
WEDNESDAY
Reading - Study vocabulary words and definitions from “Click, Clack, Moo”
in the reading folder
Language – study for test on , present & past tense verbs, and combining
sentences
Spelling – Review Lesson - study for test
