I hold a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in
Mathematics. I have also earned a Master Degree in Curriculum and
Instruction. This will be my 25th year of teaching. I have enjoyed
teaching second grade for 23 years. This will be my sixth year at
Madisonville Elementary. My husband and I are residents of
Madisonville for eight years. We have two children and four grandchildren.
To enjoy learning and become lifelong learners
My goals for the class are to develop oral and written expression skills and
teach students to become strategic readers who gain meaning and enjoyment
from reading a variety of literature. Also, students will develop
confidence and competency in mathematics. Finally, students will learn to
work cooperatively, stay focused and work independently on specific tasks.
