Monday - November 16, 2009
Spelling-Spelling Contract for Monday- choose an option.
Spelling Words this week for the second grade are as follows: loop,
rude,look,clue,spoon,tube,shook,blue,cubes,goose, mules, gloom,true,stew.
Challenge:classroom, childhood,annual,potential.
Reading Story:"The Jones Family Express".
Reading vocabulary as follows: annual, potential, expensive, politely,
package, wrapping, innocent, aisles.
Grade3
Spelling vocabulary as follows:
center,once,dance,germs,spice,bridge,badge,circus,cement,glance,strange,pol-
ice, certain, orange,ounce,ginger,wedge,arrange,sponge,village.
Challenge: general, ceremony.
The Reading story is as follows: " Kid Reporters at Work".
The vocabulary words are as follows:enterprising, persistence, venture.
Grade1:"Meet Super Croc", vocabulary as follows: hopeful, unable, confirm,
ancient, valid.
Grade1- Math worksheet.
Grade2/3- 3- digit addition.p.21.Math.
Reading- Monday/Grade1,2,3- 10 minutes or more of reading
assigned book in binder/
parent's initial -A.R. log(even if it is not an A.R. book).
The A.R. system is down school-wide/ it may be a while until your child will
be able to test on A.R., but they are still required to read- A.R. or take-
home book.
Tuesday - Nov.17,Spelling Contract: Choose an assignment from the contract.

Grade1:math worksheet.
Grade2/3-adding money p. 26.Math
Reading Read A.R./ or assigned book for ten or more minutes and sign log.

Math worksheet-Grade1-
Grade2/3 3 digit subtraction-p. 32.Math
Reading- Read for ten minutes(log minutes on A.R.sheet).
Spelling- You must choose an activity from the Spelling contract.
Write a story using eight words from your Spelling list.
Sort the words by the number of syllable using the tree map.
Write words using one color for consonants and another color for vowels.
Thursday- Nov.19, 2009
Math worksheet
Grade1- math worksheet.
Grade2/3-awesome arrowheads- graphing.
Reading- Read for ten minutes.(log minutes on A.R.sheet).
Spelling- Study your Spelling words. Have someone call them out and sign
the paper.
Friday- 20, 2009 No Homework. Have a good week-end.Pilgrim Simulation.
Family Invited- Gifted classroom- 1:00- 2;00.
Social Studies: We need the following items for our celebration: whole wheat
rolls, cranberry sauce, cornbread dressing, pumkin pie, grape juice, white
or grape, napkins. I have to go to a required workshop for Diebles test-
training on Monday and Tuesday. Please write me a note if you can donate any
of the required items. Thank you. I look forward to seeing you on Friday.
