Spelling- Grade2/3Write your Spelling words two times each
Spelling words for Grade2:found, town, shout, owl, couch, bow, scout, round, 
plow, crowd, proud, clouds, ground, louder, bounce 
    
Challenge:snowplow, outline, 
 
Reading vocabulary are as follows:beamed, argued, possessions, fabric, 
purchased, quarreling  The story of the week is Seven Spools of thread.

            

Grade3 

Spelling vocabulary as follows: funnier, families, pennies, worried, 
replied, varied, marries, carries, easily, silliest, jumpier, merrier, 
cries, cozily, sorriest, prettily, lazier, happiest, 
Challenge: handily, factories
 The story for the third grade is the Blind Hunter. 

 
   
Grade1: See seperate reading list with homework sheet. 
    
Grade1- Math worksheet- addition
Grade3:p. 96- relating solids and plane figures
 Grade2:using tally charts to organize data: p. 48.
Reading- Monday/Grade1,2,3- 10 minutes or more of reading 
assigned book in binder/ 
parent's initial -A.R. log(even if it is not an A.R. book). 
The A.R. system is down school-wide/ it may be a while until your child will 
be able to test on A.R., but they  are still required to read- A.R. or take- 
home book.                                            


Tuesday - January 5,Grades 2/3- Write one sentence with every Spelling word.

Grade2:p.49 using plots to organize data.
 Grade3:p.97 polygons
Reading Read A.R./ or assigned book for ten or more minutes and sign log.
 

Wednesday- January 6, 2009
Math worksheet-Grade1-p 
Grade2: p.50reading bar graphs
 Grade3:p. 98 line segments and rays.p.98.  
 Reading- Read for ten minutes(log minutes on A.R.sheet).
Spelling- write a short story , include as many words as you can fit in the

 Grade1- math
Grade2:writing to compare p. 51
 Grade3:p.99 quadralaterals.
Reading- Read for ten minutes.(log minutes on A.R.sheet).
 Spelling- Study for your test. Have someone call out your words. 
Friday- January 7- Happy New Year!- 2010. There is no Homework 
this week-end. We will begin geometry on the fourth grade level. The third 
grade level will finish the chapter 4 goals of data and time. The first 
grade level will continue to study trades in the tens
