Homework

I believe that homework should be a fairly quick and painless 
process. It is typically finishing incomplete classwork, spelling contracts, 
and studying for tests and quizes.

I will always post a copy of your Weekly Spelling Words and Vocabulary Words 
on this page.

We're finishing up our Spooky Narratives this week. 
The Students have been working very hard on growing in his/her writing skills 
this year. Now that students have learned the basic structure of 5th grade 
writing, they will begin being graded according to the 5th grade ILEAP 
writing rubric. Using this rubric will help to determine not only if your 
child has mastered the required 5th grade writing GLEs, but it will also help 
to indicate how your child will perform on the upcoming writing portion of 
the ILEAP test. Be on the lookout for these writings coming home, and go over 
with your child any comments for improvement.
